8 teams of 10!
We don't have 80 women who look like that in the whole of the UK!

Just read the Hartley decision. Basically he was found guilty because he admitted biting Ferris' finger. However Ferris comes out of it very badly. His version of the injury was rejected in favour of the medical report, it was accepted that the bite was quick and not for a few seconds as he claimed and most importantly the committee thought that Ferris had his fingers in Hartley's mouth. No wonder it got reduced to 8 weeks.

(This is not to say that I am a fan of Hartley - I still think that he is a pratt of the highest order - in this case I think Ferris far surpassed him!)

Months (6). Played (8). Points (0). Was the Gavnor's stay at Cardiff Blues a success? I'll let you judge that for yourself Gav fans.

isnt this like kind of obvious? I sense a circular argument coming on.

That unrealgav twitter thing is funny saw it yesterday

Does anyone know exactly how many last chance saloon's there are? As it appears I am drinking in one. Again.

The real tweet from Ryan Jones says it all though.

Some timing he has, On Sky tonight that Jamie Roberts is out for up to 6 months. Why would you bin a (former) international centre just as you are about to lose an current international centre?

And Laulala is going at the end of the season, so it will be a Hewitt and Evans dream combo next season. Unless there is sig more to all this than we know it seems to me Henson has been bought into clubs where the coaches dont want him and his ambitions of playing international rugby are getting in the way of his establishing himself in the team. Whilst not at his best he has looked better than Cardiffs other options in the centre (other than Roberts who has hardly played for them in ages and Laulala) and has done a reasonable job at 15. Being in the wales six nations squad meant he missed a lot of training with thr blues.

Heineken Cup is back this weekend, i am off to Murrayfield with 32,500+ (!!!) others to watch Edinburgh just hope they win. Racing Metro and London Irish matches were brilliant earlier in the season fingers crossed for another victory.

Cardiff were beyond awful last friday so am expecting a thrashing from Leinster. Welsh rugby is ****ed at the moment. Losing players abroad wouldnt be too bad if we had some good coaches but Baber and Burnell are shit and Tandy at ospreys is a kid. Only scarlets have a decent coach.

The vitriol reserved for Henson is laughable. He acts like a **** when pissed. He hasnt attacked anyone, he hasnt biten anyone, he hasnt tried to tear a players arm off, he hasnt been arrested, he hasnt been accused sexual assault, he hasnt tossed a dwarf or snogged a blond when married to a princess hes has simply got pissed and acted like a knob following taking time away from rugby for reasons unknown and trying to make a comeback.

There's a lot more to it than that, and some of the examples you give are out of line IMHO.

What more is there then and how would you know? All i've seen is Laulala's tweet from people who were actually there. Blues have used it as an opportunity to off load him and save cash as they go down the pan. Why are other examples out of line? Include a few welsh and english players some who even play for the blues.

Apparently he was sober when he tried to pass on some coaching tips to JW...

Vitriol; To disagree with A-A's view of Gavin Henson

a) Hartley is a * but I'd have bitten Ferris in the same situation.
b) Clark is a
*, but he's not tried to rip anyones arm off.
c) Being accused of sexual assault is not the same as being charged. Innocent until guilty? Passing judgement is way out of line.
d) There was no dwarf tossing.

Hensons done more than acted like a * when pissed. He's a divisive influence, he destroys team morale and he's a selfish * with no regard for anyone. He's also had his fair share of bother with the law. I respect a_a's commitment to a player he idolises but I must say that I don't think that the coaching teams of Saracens, Toulon and Cardiff can all be wrong.

AA - he was steaming drunk at 7 am having been out all night without anyone else from the team. He made such a nuisance of himself on the flight he is barred from the airline.

Yes he may well have troubles but he is not being singled out - indeed he has had more latitude shown to him than many

So what are hensons brushes with the law?
So you have no more info about tbe incident?
How do you know what Ferris was doing?

Apparently duckman apparently try to seperate myth from fact. The facts are he had a scrap with an aussie 9 who was sacked from his last job for breaking a team mates jaw in a fight in a bar. Toulon cleared him anx offered him a contract conditional on not playing for wales he turnex them down. These are facts. Your view and wreckers view are based on what someone heard down the pub.

So what are hensons brushes with the law?
There was the train incident for one. The St Mary street incident (which earnt him a caution) for another.
So you have no more info about tbe incident?

Flybe have banned him for 6 months. I'm not sure I want any more info TBH.
How do you know what Ferris was doing?

The report was quite clear IMHO.

I CBA to get into a row about it and as I've said, you are entitled to show support for a player you respect.
I just see wasted talent I'm afraid.

What did the report say Ferris was doing?

The train incident was the people he was with Henson didnt get charged.
Flybe banned him is all you know but you say there was much more to it than that based on no k.owledge whilst somone who was there said there was not much in it.... Try look at some facts.

You seem happy to slander Ferris based on no facts to. Maybe you are a tad one eyed towards the english?

Perhaps I am a_a. I try to view things as a neutral but I'll concede that I probably slip.
I wasn't really referring that there was more to the Flybe incident, more that GH was sacked for more than that incident alone (ie his attitude). Being a likable chap often earns you a little forgiveness (allegedly!), being a cock often doesn't.

I'm not sure there is too much vitriol against Henson, he is a obviously a troubled guy who needs help, but the first stages to help is acknowledging you have a problem.

As others have said he has had a few clubs recently who have got rid of him because of his antics both on and off field. There must be something in that. IF he is a good as you say, offered the club something, and wasn't on a possibly inflated salary they would bend over backwards to keep a player of his supposed ability. That they are all getting rid of him speaks volumes for both his attitude and ability IMO.

AA I am with you as being a Henson fan but not sure how you can so dogedly support him. He is an ar%e, from the book dishing the dirt on the Lions where he had to apologise to his Welsh team mates to the train incident to the crap in France and now this latest fiasco. One of the most talented players the game has ever seen and one of the worlds biggest a holes.

Why is Feris getting grief he got bitten. What ever he was doing to Hartley (who is scum IMO) shouldnt of Hartley bided his time and got him back later. Where is the evidence he was doing anything to Hartley?

Pigface I'm not saying he isnt an arse but no more so than a good number of players. I just get annoyed by people being happy to spout crap that is untrue.
Cardiff dont want him as he is still getting in the wales squad and so isnt worth the cash. I am fairly sure they would offload Roberts given the chance. Have you seen how much he has played for them this year, its not a lot more than Henson.

POSTED 5 HOURS AGO # REPORT-POST

To quote the other thread you started; let he who is blameless cast the first stone. You are the most one-eyed poster on here. Hell you got banned on a rugby thread for abuse! Henson is bad news who has as pointed out been cautioned and dropped by EVERY major team he has played for (obviously ospreys don't count) and one minor (cardiff). Why were Tolouns other internationals allowed to go and play for there countries?
Just for future reference, my scuttlebutt comes from MUCH better sources than the pub. Henson was recently described to me by a current international ref as a "complete w word" based on his behaviour at an after game dinner....while Henson was sober. But of course come out with all your pish about WHY teams get rid of him, because you are better informed than coaches. Cardiff would rather play without centres than keep him, or is that not a fact?

Calm down love xxx

i think the view that Henson was hung out to dry comes from two ex coaches and Tom Shanklin but i'm sure you know better than them.

AA - his on field antics aren't much is what I mean!

AA if those better informed should be listened to, then read the book I have mentioned several times. As I said was quoted to me by a top rugby coach who should know his stuff.

Also endorsed by Atherton in the cricketing world too, and I believe ED Smith too.

Henson may have his troubles but right now he is just an a@se.

Many episodes already described confirm it but the deciding factor for me is when he kicked snow at his sled dogs who had run all out for him just because he lost a race in some stupid reality program. Complete waste of talent/ability.

Bruk, I entirely agree with you there but you have used facts the others just spout half truths, hearsay and opinion.

as pointed out been cautioned and dropped by EVERY major team he has played for (obviously ospreys don't count) and one minor (cardiff). Why were Tolouns other internationals allowed to go and play for there countries?

he left Saracens having hardly played, certainly wasn't cautioned. Was picked regularly for Toulon who cleared him of blame for the drinking incident and wanted to keep him as cover for the world cup. He has played twice for Wales since his comeback and was in the last squad, he's not been dropped by Wales, apart from by the coaching genius that is Gareth Jenkins and as you say wasn't dropped by ospreys. Other than that you are spot on.

While at Toulon in 2011, he was suspended for a week following an off-field incident, but when he left at the end of that season the French club cited Henson's possible Wales involvement for his departure.

I never watched any of the reality tv show rubbish he was involved in so can't comment on that, but he did seem to enjoy the profile that being with Charlotte Church brought. From a rugby point of view he was an excellent rugby player with bags and bags of potential, but his reported actions off the field look to have cost him any chance of redeeming his career as there can't be many coaches in a top flight club who will take him on now. Given the welsh performance in the 6 nations do they actually need him? Interesting to think how the two careers of GH his centre partner in the lions side have panned out...BOD probably epitomises professionalism on and off the pitch. Just my opinion

Very true Albanach, he's a complete contrast to Wilkinson as well. I think what has really ruined his career was his two year break from rugby and we dont know the reasons behind that, it would appear to have been due to more than just physical injuries which he undoubtedly was carrying a lot of. He only started all the TV shite at the end of his absence after he split from Church and must have suddenly realised he needed money.

Hope everyone going to a match this weekend has a great time.
I'm going for Edinburgh, Leinster, Munster, CA - but its the cup so anything can happen.
Nice article from Shaun Edwards in The Guardian too:

I can't believe Danny Care has been recalled to the England squad so soon. He's been arrested 3 times for drink related offences in the last 6 months and has an investigation for sexual assault still to be determined.

Not sure it's really sending out the best message to young players.
