I'm after having some luggage space on the roof of my van. It's not got a pop top or spoiler or solar on the roof.
Anyone got any decent, budget, non-scene tax suggestions?

A note of caution here, some, in fact many of the non OEM roof rails are purely for show and have no load capacity whatsoever. I'd stick with the VW ones mated with Thule bars and a Thule box. Not the cheapest option, but you won't be picking up your smalls on the M1 one day. Ebay is always worth a look. Roof bars are roof bars, no one really sees them.
I have a set of Thule on ours, also have some Van Guard ones that I had on the old Caravelle with awning rails. If you want to carry then the majority of non-VW rails aren't load rated, as above, go with something approved for job.
Thule pro bars plus whatever Kamei roof box fits all your gear in.
Plus a builders stepup to load and unload it?
