I've just rediscovered one of her albums on my laptop and remembered how much I love her voice and the chilled music she makes. It has calmed me dramatically this afternoon.

Anyone else have music they haven't listened to for years that's come back to their consciousness this lockdown? Especially if it is not your preferred genre?

Aaah, Ravi Shankar's lass? Excellent! Makes me wonder why people bother with Katie Melua.

I started a long trawl through my overly large libary during lockdown wondering if I'd ever be listening to some of this stuff again.
Ended up with a lot of lady vocalists. These two stood out:
Madeleine Peyroux

Silje Nergaard

There was a lot of prog and psych as well. Which made me laugh when I saw FGF this week.

Yes lots!

I've recently got a CD ripper box to store my CDs onto a hard disk box and play on my HiFi.

I'll pick up a random CD from the pile and slot it into the drive to copy and then think "wowza haven't listened to this for a while" and then start listening after its been copied (3-4mins). I'll forget to slot in a new CD to copy while the old one is playing....

I'm making very slow progress at the mo 🙂

I have eclectic tastes, everything from Hip Hop to Rock to Classical. I usually go through phases, I'll eg I'll have punk rock phase and totally forget Hip Hop exists. So it's quite nice listening to a totally random mix of stuff.

I've just managed to put every album on my laptop onto my phone so I've just got Poweramp on shuffle. Have had for a couple of days now. Found some Alicia Keys as well as the delightful Ms Jones in there

Exactly the same - I rediscovered her only last weekend and had a lovely wet afternoon curled up with a book listening to her. Totally forgotten about for must be 15 years.

I always thought 'dance me to the end of love' would sound good in a jazz style. Well done! Still prefer the original, though .....

Love her album Little Broken Hearts. Quite dark and very different from her other albums. She’s great love too
