Anyone else stuck in work today? I am in until 5.

Positives:
- The building is empty
- I have my laptop with an ADSL connection and no proxy server
- The roads were empty
- I get a day back to take another time
- I get a nice payment to cover working today

Negatives:
- It's nice and sunny outside
- The LBS across the road from my window is reminding me that I would rather be out on the bike.
- I'm at work

I've been called in - well not in as such, as I work from home

Pros
I'll get another day back and a payment for what looks like a 10 min job
I was up already

Cons
Can't think of any right now

I'm at home, but there is a tiny chance I will get called in as I'm on call.

But tomorrow is my day off anyway 🙂

what bank holiday? (In scotland).

Lovely day here too, and just done my 1st commute in a few months due to relocating office/not bike facilities etc.

it was great! 😀

Mrs yunki has had a very busy weekend making a bewildering assortment of wedding and birthday cakes.. (one four tier, two three tier, 120 cupcakes, a hundredth birthday cake and a rather striking red cake with a golden chinese dragon hand-embossed on it)

I will be spending a large portion of today doing the resultant washing up and kitchen cleaning.. 😐

Finished late there just before and back in at 7 tonight.

Pros:

Extra holiday hours.
Double time for being finished late on a bank holiday.
I'm too knackered to go anywhere on a Bank Holiday when everywhere is heaving.

Cons:

None it's just another day at work.

Just another day at the office - no bank holiday here in Holland.

Still - I catch the ferry on Friday, 3 weeks off. 🙂

Working here in sunny Thailand too, no biking at the moment either as my bike doesn't get shipped out for another 2 weeks!

No holiday in India.

However, there are holidays on Wednesday and Thursday, but as they aren't holidays in the UK I'll be working them too 🙁

Cheers, Rich

Yep - I am in as are half of the engineering department!

Pros:
- we get the whole of Christmass off instead
- I cycled in along the canals - 18 miles of a 23 mile one way trip ripping the CX bike was ace. As were the dozen or so herons, 3 foxes and 2 owls and countless other wildlife. Who'd have thought that riding from near Kidderminster to North Wolverhampton could be such a pleasure!

Cons:
- I'd rather have had a lie in, done the ride this morning and spent the rest of the day with the family.
- Riding on the flat for 23 miles hurts more than I expected!
- I have to ride home tonight and my legs are shot

Also working here too (near Leeds) until 5pm. Nice weather although a little breezy. Best part of working a bank holiday is the 50 min drive takes 25 min 😀

we can choose wether to work BH or not - inc xmas - so if the weather is poo - worth saving my day until the sun does out. But as I'm "working from home", planet rock on the mac and doing some easy peasy admin stuff - biking later on in the PM
