Driving to the Alps in a couple of weeks. My recovery policy (through bank account) would be £100 to upgrade so need to go elsewhere.

Is it worth it? Anyone got any recommendations?

Are you going to the alps to pursue something that may include an element of danger or risk ? if so why not just take a bit of a risk with the journey there ?

As an aside I asked on here about bank recovery and it was pointed out that they only do not charge for the first 10 miles (including distance to breakdown) so you may be wise to look at a whole new breakdown package. HTH

have a look at the cover you can add on to a chunnel crossing, seems a cheap way and they use the equivalent to AA
