Sad news - RIP
1969 Woodstock:
his great voice will be missed ...(digs out a few Cocker tracks to play)
Just found out about this. A real shame. He gave so much to a performance. Rip
Oh, how sad. I saw him in Munich some where between 15 & 20 years ago He was warm-up act for Brian Adams. He was absolutely brilliant, Adams was shite.
Fantastic singer
"Mad Dogs and Englishmen" first album I ever bought.
R.I.P
Tbh I didn't realise he was still alive. But now I've heard he's died it's really sad news; if that makes sense?
He was liked in the uk but in the continent he was treated like a god.
I quite liked him. RIP.
Always liked his music--unfortunately we keep seeing more of that generation of musicians passing.
My daughter-in-law's father is a custom home builder who lives in Montrose, Colorado, not far from Joe's ranch in Crawford, Colorado and he did some of the work on his house when it was built years ago. He said that Joe was just a down-to-earth guy and very friendly with everyone working on the house.
Something to say album all time classic.
listen to st.james infirmary if you get chance.
possibly the best white blues/soul singer ever.
Did he go with a little help from his friends?
🙁
