I think it's Damage Limitation time. Woy has turned Liverpool into a laughing stock. It's pretty clear the players have no confidence in him, haven't from the start really. I don't think the board can continue to risk having Woy in charge any more. He's clearly out of his depth, and has no ideas, no plan B, nothing.
If I was Woy, I'd resign, and go and manage a Swedish club or something; stay away from top-level footy. He's been found out; his 'success' with Fulham was nowt more than a fluke really.
Shouldn't have got rid of Benitez until a decent replacement had been lined up. Or, put Kenny in charge until one could be found. Appointing Woy was the last desperate act of those clueless knobs Hicks and Gillet. What a shambles.
Agree with the above - it's just a joke now. His position should be untenable. Really hope he walks or is kicked and as soon as possible. Most of the team should follow him though. Regardless of who the boss is, if you're being paid £100,000's a week, I'd expect a LOT more commitment than the players have been showing.

I wonder just how damaging this really could be, to his career? Wil he ever manage a top flight team in any league in Europe? I'd say his chances of a cushy job at some Arab team even are evaporating as fast as the clock ticks down at Ewood Park.

I notice the only player who has spoken out for Woy is Joe Cole, who kind of has to really. Can't really recall any other player getting behind him. Speaks volumes.
Minimum was a CL place this season, minimum. And at least a cup final. Currently we're 4 points from the relegation zone, 11 points from the CL zone, and 19 points off the top. Simply not good enough. The blame has to lie with Woy.

I say take the majority of the overpaid, overhyped players with you on the way out.

It's Woy's wesponsibility to get the players playing with confidence and belief. They aren't. Benitez had pretty much the same squad last year, and 7th place was considered a disaster. Under Woy, Liverpool have been far, far worse. And there's things like insisting on playing Konchesky, one of his signings, when Aurelio is miles better. Then there's the criticism of the Liverpool fans last week. Just not done. Those fans are helping to pay his wages ffs. He's lost the dressing room, lost the fans, just generally lost it. He has no back up, no ideas.
Managing Liverpool is a massive job. A manager needs to be able to cope with the challenge. Woy can't, it's obvious. Sooner he's gone, the better. I hope and pray I wake up tomorrow to a Woyless World...
You ever played a team sport at any decent level? If so then you'll know that a huge part of a teams ability is down to each member of the team knowing exactly what the other members are doing without having to look and see that they're doing it. For that to happen everyone needs to know exactly what their role is. That bit is the managers job.
Post match interviews; Woy blaming 'individual errors', yet Ancelloti on the other hand is blaming himself. Woy simply can't accept or even understand that he is responsible for the way the team plays. Sticks with the same unsuccessful format week in week out. Rubbish.

I say let Kenny have a go, at least until end of t'season. Don't splash loads on players, but sell some (Torres? While we can still get a decent price for him? He clearly would rather be elsewhere and who can blame him?), and maybe get a couple of bargains/players disillusioned with their current clubs. Then just get them playing for the enjoyment of it, with no pressure (Let's face it, FA Cup away to the Sc... Man U? Not a cert that one is it? 😆 ). Rebuild ready for next year. Give some of the youngsters a go, see what potential they've got. Martin Kelly looks a good un, as does Shelvey, Pacheco and one or two others.
Use the time to find the right manager to take Liverpool into next season. Not just grab the first one that comes along. Then have a decent pot of money for whoever takes the job, for next season.

I don't think there's an English manager, bar perhaps 'Arry, who's capable of taking over at a team like Liverpool. We need someone with big club management experience, who's won big stuff. Rikjaard is one name being bandied about, then there's yer Van Gaal, Hiddinck, people like that. I say give it ter Kenny for the rest of the season at least, allows more time to court decent managers. If Real fall short, then praps Mourinho might be looking for a move, but we'd have to provide a more appealing package then Citeh for someone like him.
Unless LFC suddenly find several hundred million to buy yer best players, then they'll have to get a decent manager. I don't think Mancini is necessarily a great manager, but you can't go far wrong with a squad like that! Look at Grant at Chelsea. He did ok there.
No, Liverpool need someone with balls, someone who won't be intimidated by the likes of Bacon Face, someone Bacon Face actually dislikes cos he sees them as a threat...
Otherwise we'll end up with McClaren or some clown like that. 🙁

I haven't played this week, Hairy. I don't play until Monday, cos of the Xmas break. I fear I may be a bit rusty, but an opportunity to gain some more game time in my new role as a Messi-esque playmaker.
I do hope my goal drought tends soon. Several games now. Mind, I've not been on form lately. Plus some of the youngsters are starting to make me feel quite old now. I haven't quite got the pace I once had. Still got a few years left in me, mind. Got a sharp footballing brain, me. Always able to spot an opening, look for where the gaps in the defence are.
Our defence need to sort themselves out though, ffs. Every game I tell them 'mark up, get close on 'em', but there's too much standing off, they give the opposition too much space and time. I want to hear the crunch of bone, but they moan about needing to be able to go to work the next day. Pansies.
