can the return leg be canceled without the passenger being informed?
Umm.. there are rules about this - it was all over the telly during the volcano thing.
Can't remember tho. Although it seems off that they wouldn't tell you.
ahhhh.............
Ryanair
it's a business thing. company buys return flight, can they cancel the return leg... what with them being untrustworthy, vindictive, scheming tossers?

He pays the piper calls the tune. Of course they could cancel it, but they may not get a refund, and it might be difficult if you had proper paper tickets that you had with you, rather than just a reservation number.
can they cancel the return leg
yep, not sure even having a ticket would help you, tbh.
I think you might be able to argue that leaving you in another country with no means to get home would breach a duty of care though and sue them big time (even if you were an ex-employee by then).
Did you resign whilst overseas? Might influence things if they decided to pay you instead of you working your notice as your return flight might then be after you stopped workign for them.
Technically thay could cancel it, it'd just be taken off the system, I'd be surprised if they got a refund for it.
Sounds like they just stiffed you up, though that is pretty shocking and they must be open to some form of complaint.
They haven't heard you've been practising firing guns through doorways have they?
yep. Happened to me twice with Ryanair. Unfortunately they are the only people who fly direct from Southern UK to Salzburg where I used to have to frequently fly to. Hated flying with them. Fortunately can avoid them almost every time now.
outbound flight hasn't happened yet. trying to work out likelihood of being stranded in Brazil by a bunch of twunts......
I think there are easier ways of dealing with you in Brasil if they decide you're trouble...
