For what it's worth I've met Junkyard too, he offered to teach me some Bike Maintenance when I posted asking for details of bike shops that did courses etc.

I was pretty new here at the time and he had no reason to offer his time to teach me stuff for free.

He invited me to his house, and spent a good few hours of his time teaching me some maintenance and bike building/tinkering stuff, and gave me a few spares and stuff that would help me out.

Thoroughly nice bloke. And even though we tended to not agree on some things discussed on here, its a real shame he has been kicked off, he's one of the people on here that debates a point well in my opinion, and never seemed like a troll at all.

(And I would be amazed if this "conspiracy" is true)

Sounds like its come from a 3rd party if you read Mark's statement. 'Supplied' infers that it was presented rather than discovered doesn't it? Who would do that and why?

But I doubt it will ever be presented (or even commented on again for that matter) so I suppose we will just have to make our own decisions as to what we believe.

Yup, I think by far the most likely scenario is that someone has stitched him up. Now if you thought conspiring to troll via email was sad, imagine how sad it would be to set up a fake conspiracy to get someone banned because you didn't like them.

the other option is that the site owners don't actually want him on here and have seized on a spurious accusation to get rid of him.
