Two of the radiators are quite long. Roughly what would you expect costwise/ballpark to fit (quoted for two days to fit).
I recently paid £200 for two radiators so maybe £600-£700 for the rads + TRV's (another £100) sundry bits of pipe (£40) + Labour = £1200-£1500?
With TRVs? And plumbing? Single or double (K1 or K2)?
Id say three of them doubles (downstairs).
With TRV's.
Hes not specified yet but reckons £1300 all in.
It took me most of a day to fit the two rads I bought but I did have to reroute some pipes and had never done it before.
Wasn't complicated but it would have been a lot easier with 2 people a large double rad weighs a lot and trying to line it up with pipes coming out of floor and getting height for brackets etc right was a pain.
It coincided with a new boiler beign fitted so I didn't need to worry about adding rust inhibitor etc as the guy doing the boiler did it.
I replaced 9 last year as part of my house re-furb; I had a plumber do the 5 that required new pipework at a cost of £200 and it took him a full day (8 till 8). The other 4 I did myself, if you're replacing like-for-like (in terms of existing pipe work) then I'd suggest you fit them yourself, it's absolutely simple.
Although that price was because he'd also done the new combi boiler and the bathroom + kitchen so it was almost "mates-rates"
I would guesstimate
7 x TRV - £140
3 x double - £180/£300
4 x singles - £160/£240
1 x system refill + inhibitor (couldn't even guess but I would imagine about £20 for the inhibitor)
(assuming you buy them direct from Screwfix or similar)
Then a day's labour assuming a like-for-like replacement with NO new plumbing needed.
How old is your house? I recently replaced a bunch of mine and you will find that the range of sizes is not as wide as it once was. Therefore there may be a bit of messing around with the pipes. Some of mine I replaced in about an hour per rad, one took me best part of a day.
£1300 all in doesn't sound too bad bearing in mind that when amatuer plumbing goes wrong it can be quite spectaculer and stressful.

1927. We are using the original porcelain toilet and sink that came when new. I would'nt attempt plumbing myself. Not a chance.
