My iMac with my iphone account is in Vienna whilst I'm currently in Snowdonia.
Could someone please tell me how to remove this forced on piece of shit that is the new U2 album from my phone without my computer?
I'm running ios 8.1.1
Many thanks.

Is it actually on your phone?

I have it in my Album list, but it is just on the cloud (i.e. has a little cloud and arrow symbol) so not taking up any space on the phone.

Seriously, can't you just swipe it to the left and get the nice RED delete thingy?

[edit] but it is just on the cloud
Ah, then no. The delete doesn't come up with those.

Make a playlist with it not included and listen to that until you get to the PC.

DezB, you're a star.
I never knew that but then again I'm not the most intelligent guy.

Deleting it just removes it from the phone. You still "own" it so it still appears, but now it is just on the cloud.

I never knew that

Top Tip: that same swipe action lets you delete emails, messages, recent calls, notes etc

Love it - they've had to create a special web page just to deal with the demand of people wanting rid of it permanently 😆

I guess that's as close as they'll ever come to admitting that it actually pissed quite a lot of people off!

I can't understand why people get so angry about this, it's hardly a Lost Prophets or Gary Glitter album, after all.

I never was a fan of U2. Don't want it on my phone. I never asked for it.
I can't stand the hypocritical prat that is Bono and don't really want his stuff forced onto me like forcing a vegetarian to eat a medium rare Sirloin steak.
That's why.

If I had a new iPhone given to me, with music already installed, there would be some very pointed questions asked about the provenance of said phone.

😕
