Due to not being able to use the caravan as planned, we now need to find a cottage/house in the peak district for next weekend (9th ) for our anniversary.
STW seems to be the font of all knowledge so I thought why not?
Looking for me and my wife plus the dog in as remote a location for a weekend of walking.
Lots of places on line seem to be in groups of cottages or in villages.
Any suggestions?

Ok these are in a group (4 in a farmyard) but we stayed here last summer. Really smart cottages in the middle of nowhere, just off the Penine bridleway at the bottom of Rushup Edge.

Bike friendly too, hose to wash your bike and somewhere to lock it up. Didn't have a breakfast in the farmhouse, but went for an evening meal that was superb. Highly recommended 🙂
