Although an atheist myself, I invariably find most people who espouse to be atheists are in fact anti christian bigots.
I had a brief conversation about Christianity with a guy who stated he was Atheist ... strangely he said he preferred spending time with 'religious people' (as he called them) as he found them more genuine and trustworthy.

Read Leviticus 25:44-46 where there’s an assumption that you will buy and keep slaves - who should serve their Christian masters especially well (Ephesians 6:5)! Exodus 21 does put in certain safeguards for them though, regarding the severity of beatings , which should not injure their eyes or teeth!
