First Red Nose Day was 1988 - sticks in my mind cos it was my first year in college.

Western culturs have raped Afica of resources for centuries, still going on plenty of places too, Nigerian oil fields are a prime example. The aid given to Africa is a drop in the ocean compared to what it taken from Africa.
