Brother got me red dead for Christmas. Best game I've ever played. I know I'm about a year late to the party, cannot believe I've not played it sooner.
First game since half life 2 where I've been fully immersed in the story. Anyone else played it? Are you choosing to be good or bad? I can't resist shooting land owners and simple towns folk 🙂
Yeah, I'm playing Grand Theft Horsey currently as well. Just unlocked Mexico. Great game, thoroughly enjoying it. I'm playing the hero currently, might have a replay where I'm not redeeming at all though.
Been playing it on and off for the last couple of months. Just unlocked the Mexico section but havn't played it for a few weeks.
Thought it started off very slow and boring but it has got a little better.
i got the undead nightmare one but not got round to it yet!
Gosh you are a bit late on it 😉
It's a great game, with quite a twist later on.
I really really enjoyed it, played it multiplayer for a while too.
Oh - and if you want all the achievements your'll have to do some quite sick 'n twisted thing 😀
Not played it for several months though as I've been hooked on Bad Company 2 (now the Vietman mod!).
No spoilers, please (I've been advised to avoid them).
UKCougar on XBL if anyone wants to posse up.
Nickname - I'm considering getting bad company 2 once I've gotten bored of red dead. Looks ace.
Not sure what single thing it is that makes red dead amazing for me. Music, style, shooting and general real world-ness of it all blow me away. Spent thirty minutes earlier playing horseshoes with a ranch hand.
My faveorate game if 2010. Great story with twists and turns. Found it a tad easy but that's all.

Cougar - I'm on ps3 I'm afraid. Same username there also.
Very good game indeed. The later missions take a lot of running around and some of the achievements are a proper ball ache but still immensely enjoyable.
I like the bandana option, more games should do that.

I was so nauseatingly good that Mr Toast found it painful to watch me playing it. Dutifully scouring the landscape to help an old fella make a bouquet of flowers for his wife, tying up the (still living) bounty target and trying to avoid killing their lackeys hoping they'd get bored to keep my kill count down...
"It's all right love, you can kill them, it doesn't count against you"
"Nooo, must avoid unecessary bloodshed!"
I do much the same, though I draw the line at gang members; anyone who shoots at me and doesn't require bringing back alive gets terminated with extreme prejudice.
If I have one criticism of the game, it's that it auto-switches your equipped weapon to the knife when you skin something. I've died so many times by riding into a pack of double-hard armed gits and pulling a knife on them.
Love it not played for ages as stopped when the summer came and not back around to playing it. I was a bit of a bad guy but careful who seen me but if I wanted to very bad I wore the bandit mask. Except the time I hog tied the Nun and dragged her along. I had to kill a lot of people to cover that one up a bit.
I stopped playing it in the Summer too, just after I unlocked Mexico. It's an alright game but just couldn't get into it like I could with GTA. I keep meaning to start again when I get time.

Mine didn't. You can skin animals really quickly by...possible spolier alert....

Parking your horse on top of one you've killed, dismounting and then skinning removes the animation.
Yeah, I knew that removed the animation - I didn't know it stopped the weapon swap though. Ta.
