Anyone else see them. Twin V formations flying up the valley at about 1000ft. Awesome. Must have looked incredible going over the wall of Derwent!

Would have been going between the airshows at Suffolk and one in Merseyside.

Love it when they turn up unexpectedly. Several weeks ago riding into town and suddenly realised the plane stooging around over some trees was the Vulcan flying over RAF Lyneham, then a little bit later the Red Arrows flew over in a large 'V' with one doing the big spiral loop behind them, and nobody in town appeared to take a blind bit of notice! Amazing.

The same happened to me about three weeks ago. Walking up on Whinstone Lee Tor and they flew past beneath us in the same double chevron formation. Really cool to see.

They flew right over my house while I was sat in the garden, very low, made an incredible sound. Wondered if they went everywhere at 500 feet but I guess they were on approach to Ladybower (they'd have had to climb to get over the hill between Sheffield and Ladybower).

They flew right over my house while I was emptying the car, very low, made an incredible sound. Wondered if they flew everywhere that low but I guessed they were on approach to an air show somewhere (they'd have to climb to get over the many hills around Sheffield).

where i used to live our house was directly under the flight path for the fly-pasts along the Mall. used to sit out in the garden, watch all sorts of planes fly over and then see then on tv a minute or so later.
