Currently using B & Q halogen, they don't last long and make my home look dingy! For table lamps only.

Are all light bulbs equal?

Thanks. ๐Ÿ™‚

What fitting?

Some LEDs are quite bright and should last well. (Some are hopeless though)

Some are bayonet, others have screw type fitting.

Look at the lumens. For reference 1600 lumens is about 100w of traditional incandescent power. 60w would get you 800 lumens.

For LED bulbs you'll probably want to look at >=12w.

I've also found that LED bulbs that only emit from one side tend to make loads of shadows and don't fill a room up very well.

Number of lumens are as close as I can get to the wattage which isn't that close!

Forget Aldi with its tiny car park and queues!
