I swim quite a lot, indoor and outdoor pools heavily chlorinated. Both my Speedo Google’s have perished, not that they were great at keeping the lenses fog free, but at least they didn’t leak, until now.

Looked through the two threads on STW and taken a look at Amazon, could get some more speedos though I. Any recall what model I have.

Any recommendations? Need to get the smartish.

I’ve always struggled to get ones to fit without them having to be done up exceedingly tight.

I got some of these:

https://themagic5.com/collections/all-products?tw_source=google&tw_adid=616872400957&tw_campaign=18068419431&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI9bHlyIX6gAMVGOvtCh3JCwclEAAYASAAEgI40PD_BwE

They fit better than any other goggles I’ve ever had. Although the optics out of them are slightly unusual due to the way the lenses have angles in them towards the edges.

Zoggs predator flex for me. After a few swims they begin to fog up a little, but not too bad. Fit is always good for me

Tried Zoggs predator before and returned them, just didn’t get on with them, think they were just much larger than I was used to.

I got some of these: FIT GUARANTEE

@joebristol they look interesting, hopefully they last a while at 60 quid.
Also seen these at decathlon - https://www.decathlon.co.uk/p/swedish-900-set-adult-swimming-goggles-mirrored-lenses-black-red-fina-approved/_/R-p-2995?mc=8547673&c=white&utm_campaign=Skimlinks_78888&utm_medium=affiliate&utm_source=awin

Worth a shot at £12. I always have two pairs in my bag so I could get one pair of the super expensive and one of the super cheap for balance, as I’ve been caught out with suddenly broken goggles too many times over the years.

I am keen to try other brands to speedo for once.

Get to decathlon, I'm currently using their cheapo ones and better than some of the expensive ones I've had.

Decathlon sight correction ones here, the new model with twin rubber head supports. They fit me the best but communal pools are massively chlorinated. Only 15 quid I think, I ll get a few more pairs.

I use Speedo Futura Biofuse Flexiseal from Amazon, seem to last 2 years then mist up. But great for outdoor and indoor swimming.

When I raced I used Speedo speedsockets - proper eye socket suction cups! I was going to suggest Predator flex too but see you sent some back. Assuming if you sent them back you can't have used them particularly extensively (or even in the water at all) I'd consider giving them another proper long term shot. Yes, if used to goggles of the old skool or race variety that cup inside the eye socket they do feel a bit different a lot of people (serious channel swimming type of people) use them for a reason. But....like helmets and saddles in biking, fit is very personal. Fortunately swimming is a pretty cheap sport in terms of kit ( unless you get an expensive rubber fetish!) so trying (as in buying and swimming with, not just 10 seconds in a shop) a heap of them until you find something that works long term is not going to melt you financially.

And fog - that's what spit or Johnston's baby shampoo is for.

Cheap decathlon. Adjustable nose bridge, comfortable at least up to 3.8km, don't leak, don't fog too badly when new but like any goggles soon will, last for years (about 700 swims on the current ones).

I found this IndyBest article about the best swimming goggles 2023 helped overcome my analysis paralysis of which goggles to choose

I ended up with Predator Flex which work for my face, but the article reviews 14 goggles so may have something that will fit your needs

Always used Roka goggles in our house to great success. Last well indoor and outdoor for several seasons of ironman triathlon (mis)use.

I note that Decathlon's goggles weren't in that 12-best-goggle test, Charlie. A bit daft not having the best googles going in a best of test. 😉

@trek77 I am a recent convert to Shokz bone conducting headphones

I ended up purchasing the openrun version for running/gym/inner ear comfort, but was tempted by the swimming specific Underwater headphones

Huub Altair here. Short term impressions are excellent and 3 different conditions lenses included.

I bought some Huub Aphotic goggles for open water swimming and they’re brilliant. Most comfortable goggles I’ve owned, never leaked. Got them really cheap off Sportpursuit.

Another vote for TheMagic5, their size customisable fit works very well. I have 3 sets, for outdoor pool sunny and gloomy, and indoor pool. I swim a few times a week, 2k sessions, so about 40 mins wear per session and even the oldest set are still perfect after 18 months or so of use.

My criteria are micro-adjustment in the spacing between eyes, and low profile. I love TYR Socket Rocket goggles.

Thanks all.

Some good suggestions above, have ordered a set of the decathlon Swedish goggles, decathlon NABAIJI B-FAST 900 and a pair of the magic 5.

You’re right I didn’t try the zoggs predator in the water, it was years ago now, I can’t recall what I exactly didn’t like, but if I see them on sale, will try a pair.

The HUUB ones look good, but maybe more suited to open water swimming ?

But thanks for suggestions that hadn’t come up from my searching.
