We will be in touch
I've got a couple of short clips taken with a digital camera that I want to edit and splice together. Unfortunately they are in QuickTime (.mov) format so Windows Movie Maker can't handle them.
What is a good bit of (free) software for basic editing of quicktime movies?
Or alternatively free software that will convert them to a Windows format (preserving the already limited quality) so I can edit in Move Maker?
Quicktime Pro to edit (well its nearly free)
or mpeg streamclip to convert.
(MPEG streamclip also makes it possible to convert hard disc camera footage into something that premiere and FCP can deal with.)
Just buy a Mac, and be done with it, ffs...
Um yeah cheers for that.
In the end I used RAD Video Tools to convert them to AVI.
That did the job nicely (without having to pay Apple craploads of money).
