We will be in touch
Hi
Thinking of stopping first night in France in the Arras or Amiens area to see the battlefield area and memorials. No special family or other reason just feel it is something I should do sometime. We would have an afternoon and possibly a morning. What would be good option for visits? Family with two young kids one of whom 'did' ww1 at school this year.
Thiepval?
Suggestions for campsites or b and b nearby?
My googling seems to throw up lots of longer organised tours, is a half day reasonable?
Thanks
On my last drive back from Metz to the channel tunnel they whole area seemed to be a revision lesson in WWI. I'm sure you can't go wrong anywhere around there.
This site should be helpful:

Are you aware of the WWII site La Coupole ?? It featured on Nat Geo Nazi Megastructures documentary. That might also interest your kids. It's close to St Omer.
