Actually recommend me 2; a cheap <£100 and an ultimate tent.

For prolonged use during my planned travels so needs to be light, weatherproof, roomy if possible as i may have a bike.

i am 6"7

ultimate tent = terra nova laser might be long enough and super light.

I'm 5'11 and wouldn't want to be much bigger in my Terra Nova!

Maybe worth going to a shop to see one erected, i'm delighted with mine, opens a lot of doors when your tent weighs less than a kilo and fits in you rucsac...

An alternative method but equally as light as the lightest 1 man tent

I am planning on getting the tarp for when it's wet..

and a lot cheaper than a superlight tent

ok will sneak a peak at a terra nova.

erbii- yep use a hammock+tarp at the minute, DB camping hammock, proper waterproof etc but i cant say id like to sleep more than a couple nights in it at a time, plus I dont like having to leave my gear outside of where i am sleeping.
