Recommend me a reliable builder/ building contractor in Manchester for a complete refurbishment. Its a rather big job in the region of £ 40.000 heating / windows / bathroom / electricity / plastering...

I used a really good guy about 18 months ago to do the work on my kitchen. He came recommended from someone at work (did their extension).

I've got a good friend who's a really good builder... Excellent quality work. email me (address in profile) and i'll pass on his details to you.
He can certainly do everything that you are looking for. We use him for work on our house. If there's elements of the job he can't do, he has contacts (ie plumbing) who will be able to do the work to a similarly high standard.
He'd project manage the whole job to completion (and doesn't demand money upfront as some do)..
