a lot of bitter I think is rubbish in the bottle compared to draught, but IMO the followign come out of th ebottle in good condition

and as Syndicate says coniston brewery's Bluebird is good too
Fullers bottled beers travel very well especially Chiswick and Discovery as well as the better known London Pride

Shepherd Neame beer I just cant drink out of a bottle (Bishops finger, Spitfire etc), same as Everards Tiger, and Im not a huge fan of them out of the tap either.

Waitrose stock a monastery beer called St Peters I think which is very good.

On that list you linked to, Kinver beers are very good on draught (was drinking Sunrise only yesterday) but cant vouch from the bottle.

Wye valley (my favourite brewery) do their Butty Bach in a bottle as well as a handful of Dorothy Goodbody's. Unfortunately not their HPA and Best which are by far and away the best pints of bitter in the country 🙂

I've never tried Hobgoblin bottled, though on tap it's quite nice.

Stoner, I didn't see any Kinver bottles on that site. I could be wrong though. I'd buy a box, but I don't think I can drink quick enough!

Ive double checked and you're right - boxes only.

Mind you, if you like Hobgolbin, AND cant drink a box on your own, you may not have the same tastes as me anyway! 🙂

Cairngorm brewery 'tradewinds' is really nice, dont know if you can get it down south though!

lol at Stoner. I went off Hobgoblin for a while after I drunk too much of it. I like it again now mind you. TBH, I'd much prefer a box of Enville to bottles of Hobgoblin. 18 pints in 3 weeks would be around a pint a day but I do go out drinking 2 nights/ week. Definately tempted, especially if I can get some mates to chip in.

AH64 (Attack Helicopter 6.4) I know it sounds a bit of a crap name but was made for a limmited time to commemorate the Armys chopper but has been kept going due to its popularity.

Sharps Doom Bar tastes pretty good out of a bottle, readily available in Sainsburys. Hobgoblin is ghastly poisonous bilge and is probably what made MMB start SHOUTING

Sharps Special and Eden are also good in bottles
but with so many ales out there, its a case of trying as many as you can and see which you like, for instance I don't like punk IPA and I've gone off Tanglefoot as they seem to have changed the recipe and its not as hoppy as it used to be.

3 Monts (not available in the UK)

Adnams Broadside. they make it nice and strong for bottle conditioned.

Bitter & Twisted here, also Harviestoun's lager which I forget the name of. And sheepshagger's a nice lager, too.

Harviestoun lager is called shiehallion and is rather lovely.
