Having now felt rubbish for a week and taking my temp for the week which was apparently normal, I have tonsillitis confirmed by the doc today
our current thermometer is clearly rubbish lloyds on brand ear and forehead type.
What do you recommend ?

It's what you GP will probably use and it's £25. Can't really go wrong with one of them.
Tympanic just means it takes the temp from the ear.
We have the Pro 4000 for work use.
