Why does Desperados always make me sneeze?

Thought it was random, but been noticing lately, every time I have a couple of bottles, I sneeze.

Not an issue, just weird

I get this with red wine. Not enough to stop drinking it though!

The explanation for red wine is Histamines.

You’ll be familiar with the term anti-histamine - medicine people take to treat symptoms of hay fever (for example).

That’s because your body produces histamines in response to allergens.

The interesting thing about some alcoholic drinks is they have histamines in them. Particularly matured drinks like red wine.

Alternatively you could be allergic to just about anything else in desperados (alcohol, or wheat, or any of the mad ingredients I snobbishly expect to be in a desperados).

I always have a sneezing fit after I have eaten too much, normally in a curry or pizza restaurant

I have it very often if I down too much beer/alcohol too fast. I sneeze for 10 minutes. Slight allergy to alcohol maybe.

The explanation for red wine is Histamines

My partner gets a terrible blocked nose and all that stuff when she drinks red wine.
She's gutted as she really used to enjoy a glass of red, but can't really drink almost any alcohol anymore without some hayfever-type reaction.
