Trying to buy something online, from a small UK business, and PayPal is their method.

They are going to email me a PayPal invoice.

I don't have a PayPal account but I know you can use a credit card on it.

Is using PayPal this way safe? I don't have any suspicions, but better safe than sorry!

sounds like a scam. If you send me some cash unrecorded in the post i will sort it for you?

depends paypal tends to give the buyer lots of protection but they exist in a grey area of not really being a credit card company and have convoluted terms and conditions

Make the payment and delete the card from your homepage??

How do you mean delete it?

I don't have a PayPal account, I've just used it to pay by cc before. No logging in or anything.

I dislike PayPal very much. I've used it in the way you describe though and had no problems.

Giving Paypal your card details is probably safer than giving them to a merchant (if you haven't dealt with the merchant before). You could open a Paypal account - I think it takes a day or two?
