No, but yes. I work for a (non-I.T. related) management consultancy as an analyst, but I can build databases, websites and PCs when required.

...I think you really need a better definition of 'active outdoors type', most people who buy Goretex jackets seem to use them for going shoppping in, and the majority of 'approach' shoes are used for going to the gastropub...

1) No - but I do spend quite a lot of time having to explain to others how to make their computers work, and I happen to think "The IT Crowd" is one of the best contemporary sit-coms!
2) Yes
For clarification - outdoor type means you do outdoor stuff like walking, climbing, kayaking, kite-surfing, whatever - not just wear the clothes.
I'm still a no in that case, I do ride a bike a lot though, 200 miles in the last 5 days...
1)Yes
2)Do I still put Yes, if I don't wear any clothes?
Hmm, actually i find walking insufferably dull and i hate camping, so i should probably be

1. No, but I am desk bound, insecure, under utilised, and have an internet connection.
2. People think so because I cycle to work, but I don't describe myself in this way.
3. I'm so gonna pwn you in this thread! 😡
sort of
yes
No - but I did used to be an intel analyst, not really techy IT but I still love a spreadsheet of data to play with when given the chance.
Yes - MTBer (like duh), Scout leader, mountain leadership qual', Woodcraft teacher, race sled dogs.

Does mountainbiking count?

Does mountainbiking count?
Don't be silly.
1. I'm a software dev. I wouldn't count this as IT, although I did suggest that somebody should try "switching it off and on again" the other day 🙂
2. Yes.
What's it to you?
Yes
Yes
Why are we being asked this?
It's to demonstrate why all we're so *********** passive-aggressive the whole time. And whether it's worth asking us about maltodextrin.
I'm more outdoorsy and rugged than the rest of you
You look like a shaved yeti, TJ.

Yes.
Yes, with the caveat that I'm also a passive indoors type, depending on mood. I'm equally happy on a bike / running / rock climbing / walking / camping / power kiting etc as I am sat in front of the Xbox with a pint and a chip butty. Variety is the spice, and all that.
In the words of the Lemonheads song..."I lied about being the outdoors type" 🙂
no but have done
Who am I comparing myself to? If most people yes if proper outdoorsy types no I walk and camp does that count?
