A chap at work here is trying to recover the password on a netbook computer running windows XP. His son was a 'user' he found out the administrator password, got in and then deleted this password then forgot his own password. Anyone got any idea how to fix this little problem? He now can't get past the login screen.
Google is your friend (as usual)........ no idea if they work but worth a try; google
So he's deleted the Admin password, therefore there shouldnt be a password needed for the administrator login... I have to ask, has he tried the admin login without a password?
This is what you need

Assuming you mean Windows password, is it XP Pro or Home? If the latter, you can get into it with a broken biscuit. Boot it up in safe mode, it should give you an Administrator logon on the Welcome screen. No password required. Then, just reset your user password from there. XP Pro is a bit hardier. (-:
