I think TP just wanted more cash for players, didn't get it and spat his dummy out. Having said that, surely SP could have found a few extra quid?

I wouldn't say he spat his dummy. He obviously knew he needed to spend X to get Y. Parish told him no, so rather than go at it half arsed, he just walked away.

I reckon TP knew the score when he signed, it's less than a season ago.
I think he tried brinkmanship and SP called his bluff. I'm not sure that was a wise thing to do mind you.
