I once found myself behind Billy Bragg in a Post Office, and without any thought, tapped him on the shoulder and said:
"I never thought I'd find myself queueing up with Billy Bragg!!"
....which if you aren't aware is a pun on his album entitled "Brewing up with Billy Bragg" (you probably knew that anyway binners).
BB was cool about it, giggled a bit. I just went beetroot and wondered what possessed me to speak in the first place.
Compared to some of the really embarrassing comments read out, yours was pretty benign, Cody.
Met Bill last year in Frome, lovely bloke.
Great listening to Wilco, his tone of voice says that he's still trying to process the situation he's now in, having literally been reprieved from a death-sentence.
Really pleased for him, especially after the sad news about two other great musicians in the last couple of days.
