If UK politics is getting a bit too much for you, and you want to take a glance back to the good old days of normality, you will be thrilled to know that all episodes of the brilliant Thick of It are back on BBC iPLayer as of today

Apparently 'Big Train' is getting a repeat on BBC2 as well, so happy days.

Those who like The Thick of It may also enjoy the Call Jonathan Pie show on BBC Sounds.

I'd love to see Malcolm Tucker and Jonathan Pie have an argument.

The Thick of It hasn't aged well. It now looks like a fly on the wall documentary about a government slightly more competent than the present one.

It's not that it's out dated. I think the issue is that the current politicians grew up with 'yes prime minister' and then the 'thick of it', but have forgotten that they were satirical comedies and just think that is how you behave.

Armando Iannucci has said that he thinks the present lot seemed to have viewed the Thick of It as a blueprint

@binners I vaguely remember reading that interview. Didn't he also say something like he stopped writing as much political satire because real life became more satirical than he could keep up with?

@devash - He said that since that certain event in 2016 this countries politics were now simply beyond parody, so it wasn't worth bothering to write any more

@binners have you considered going into the corporate furnishings business?

Get some cheap black IKEA frames and you could probably rent prints at a decent price per annum.
