Steam sale on right now, ~75% off. All four classic MI games for like six quid.

https://store.steampowered.com/bundle/6588/Monkey_Island_Collection

(They're on GOG also, I haven't cross-checked prices as I already own them on there.)

Blimey. Nearly had a heart attack as I thought one of my favourite hotels had burnt down.

A few years ago at Latitude Festival MrsV and me wandered into a clearing in the woods and found a band playing. We stopped to listen and after a while it dawned on me that they were singing a (fairly explicit) love song about Guybrush... I was giggle like a loon and MrsV was oblivious to what I was finding so funny 🙂

EDIT: Embedded video fail...

EDIT2: I can't seem to get it to work but if you search YouTube for "I'm in love with Guybrush Threepwood" or "Danny Fontaine & The Horns Of Fury" you should find it...

[mod edit: linky]

I'm still struggling with my unwise purchases from a previous Steam/Epic/GoG PSA, turns out I'm not great at gaming. Buying some more games will probably help, same logic as bikes right?

At this point I am a collector of the finest digital gaming specimens. I assume that by leaving them unplayed in their original (digital) wrapping I'll be sitting on a very valuable haul worthy of the Antiques Roadshow in a few years?

Cool, thanks Cougar.

Also, Cities: Skylines is free on Epic Games - ends today.

Still stuck on the spitting competition (and don't tell me. I'll get there one day!)

(responding to sboardman)

I definitely can see Fiona Brucyborg exclaiming, "It looks like the original owner didn't manage to navigate through the settings to start the game, it's in pristine condition."

That's tricksy because there's more than one thing you have to do. Yell if you want a nudge.

I think I was stuck on it the last time a monkey island thread came up!!! I have solved a few things since then but at a standstill again.

The sad thing is that I solved this as a kid but can't remember the story!!!

It's funny the stuff you remember. Played Monkey Island 1 & 2 when they were first released. Got them cheap about 10 years ago and although I'd not played them for 20 years I remembered exactly how to complete the game.

I am rubber, you are glue. It bounces off me and sticks to you.

I remember a pully in a chicken and using it in a death slide.

Can't remember much more. Great game.
