ive been in the market for a new tool box, could do with just the top bit tho..

been tempted by one of these actually http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/66-US-PRO-PORTABLE-MOBILE-STEEL-TOOL-CHEST-TOOL-BOX-CABINET-BLUE-2-DRAWERS/361137640612?_trksid=p2054897.c100204.m3164&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20140407115239%26meid%3D5e7d386f3bbd47b8888d51aab4ca048d%26pid%3D100204%26rk%3D7%26rkt%3D20%26mehot%3Dpp%26sd%3D161789035603

just for home spannering my bikes, not day to day graft - any experiences?

Doug - top bit is removable - it comes packed inside the lower bit.

the toolstop one "looks" ok - id be wanting to see it in the flesh - theres a similar halfords one and the lower part is poor quality - although the top part is good.

that US pro one looks good - roller drawers , cant really get that wrong. and us pro have a good rep outside of serial abusers such as mechanics. for home use itll be fine.

Looks like price is back up now anyway, so not such a tempting impulse buy after all.

What was the first price then? I am seeing £109 which looks cheap to me?

Dunno, but halfords have been doing their offers again recently. Just picked up a set of the 'industrial' boxes (top, middle and trolley).

No more digging through plastic crates and toolboxes for the right spanner for this monkey!

Added bonus that all the drawers are lockable and come lined, my tools are living more comfortably than I am!

Thankfully I resisted – I really don't need one but I wanted one.

that Sealy one looks amazing for £79, compared to this dodgy looking one for £75

I'm fancy something like this, the US pro kit appears to be fine but what size? I've a Pedros bike shop in a box - without the box...so what size do I need to hold it all? Any ideas? Thanks.
