Been playing GT5 online once a week with a few mates since it was released...always private games, it's a chance to get together and have a chat as much as it's about the racing. Anyhow, we've done GT5 to death so we're looking for a change...trouble is, what to get?
A couple of the guys are big MW fans, but the nature of the game means that chat is non-existent, other than the usual Anglo-Saxon insults & crowing.
PES or FIFA have been suggested, but we've heard mixed reviews about the online experience. Tiger Woods has been suggested and is a possibility.
What else should we consider, bearing in mind the requirement for proper chat?

EDIT: It isn't a game, it is a real place (no, proper real, not fantasy Sim-real) where you go to talk to friends.

I've never understood why there's no chat on the MW games. The Rainbow Six series always had loads of banter.
Just get in a party with your mates and rip each other senseless when no one else can hear
COD series is great on consoles it's what they were developed for, COD not consoles, never noticed when playing with mates there's no chat. Mute everyone else and chat away.

Ok the game is a little dated (cheap to buy now though) but GTA on multiplayer in a private room I always remember as being very good fun and a right laugh.
Drive around a corner and a rocket coming flying towards the car always just seemed so funny at the time...
The Need for Speed - Hot Pursuit is a good multiplayer
there was loads of (tedious) chat on COD BO, not so much on MW3 - still the endless drivel from folk who think they're good/whingers who think they're hard done by tho. always northerners or weegies IME just like in real life 🙄
if you like bikes, try MX Vs ATV Alive, great online, mainly against US guys (and the chat almost always involves their real life motos, difficult game once you progress above racing on amature tho.

why would you even bother listening to or talking to strangers? I normally mute everyone, and only chat with poeple I know.
Exactly mute them all, there's only so many times you can put it with spotty oinks calling people names.
That said for some of the more serious abuse I've reported them, their accounts have been deleted too.
like I said, I talk/listen to strangers in real life every day so why would I instantly mute them in an online game, not everyone with a headset is a "spotty oink" whatever that is 😕 and I'm perfectly capable of muting anyone who is too annoying, plenty strangers are actually quite sound.
i agree with mw3 a just mute those who you dont want to speak too, i play with a big clan and we have a right laugh .
I use a laptop with Skype at the same time. Mute everybody else as they all seem to require gangster rap playing the background. I only have one friend tho....
