Have you not heard of Ben Dover? He's legendary!
Some great one liners from Ben, so a friend told me.
I've led a sheltered life what with the monastery and all
Wikipedia has opened him up for me!
I have no idea why you thought that news story would be of interest on this forum.
*runs out to buy some electromagnets*
I just borrow a mates DVD's and copy them with Toast, no copyright protection. 😆
Is that guy Dover not still business partners with Phil McCrackin and the other guy Phil McAvity?
I'll get my coat...
His wife is called Eileen.
there's also his Scottish cousin Ben Doonegan
I notice that the BBC has very kindly included a PDF file of Ben Dover's threatening letter in the OP's link so you can download it, insert some details, sent it on to a 'friend' and put the shivers up them 😉
What will be interesting is how many people own up to it... A very simple defense would be that you do not have your wireless protected and therefore there is no way to know who did download the "Work"... Love to see how they handle that one..
BigG
No, he's in partnership with Duncan McCoccan and Roger D'Erassov.
I wonder if this will lead to a spike in the divorce rates.....
Some of you people should be thoroughly ashamed of yourselves! 😆

If that is your defence, you must allow inspection of your wireless router to confirm the story.
But you may have changed your router since the alleged offence (perhaps the power supply died?), and the new router has wireless security on by default.
So it would be exceptionally difficult for the other party to disprove your claim.
His ex wife is Linzi Drew and their son is the eldest lad in Outnumbered......

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MAC_address 😀
GrahamS - still won't help the other party if you have changed your router 😉
MAC Address...
That would only show the ISP the router's MAC address, not the laptops. Its possible (although a very slight possibility) that if the router is the ISP's then it might be able to log MAC address from local DHCP leases but if the router has been changed from the ISP provided one then they won't even have access to those.
In any case, spoofing a MAC address is trivial. (Which is why MAC filtering is worthless as a wireless security measure.)
