So for this (new) post I get a nice large box to write in. As I do replying to most forum posts.
however, if I try to reply to the comments on a news story the box is less than one character high.

If someone else has already commented, you can find it in the forums and you get the proper box. If you go to it under the article itself you get the smaller box.

its because singletrack has a line height of 0 for textareas on news articles
you are missing the editor stylesheet for news articles

Having claimed to have had zero problems in this forum I hit this problem within in minutes

I get the same on IOS Firefox.
