Okay I have removed my files and taken off programs that I downloaded. Is there anything else I should do? It is just a netbook with XP and office.

Use hard drive tools on the net to write over the hard drive and then reinstall Xp.

Or buy a new HD and hammer or keep the old one.

Sorry bit of freak for security.

Everything you have ever put on the hard disk is still there. Just deleting it only stops windows from seeing it and makes the space available for new stuff.
You should really do a secure erase on the hard drive. There are loads of programs that can do it, some free. Check cnet

depends what you did on it & depends what you want removed.

For a complete clean get a copy of Knoppix & run the Shred Programme

Something like Dariks boot and nuke should do the trick.

Would these tools delete XP and office as I don't want that. I'm selling to a regular STWer.

They get rid of everything. If you've got re-install disks for Windows & Office, just send them to the buyer with the netbook, is easy to sort out & means they can choose what to put on & what to leave out, etc.
