We will be in touch
We have a power shower system comprising a pump which feeds 2 showers. The most used shower has shown a massive drop off in water output when hot water starts to come through. Delivery of water is good when it is cold, but as the hot water starts to come through, the flow drops off. Flow also improves if the temperature is turned down.
This shower has a thermostatic bar with hot and cold feeds. (It's an HR A3500 if that helps).
Is this problem likely to be with the thermostatic valve (it's about 3 years old) in which case replacing it should fix the problem, yes? Or could it be something else? Sure it's not the pump since the other shower is fine, and also not a blockage in the head as I've taken all that apart and cleaned it.
Assuming it is the valve, can anyone recommend a good source for replacements?
thanks all
Hudson Reed warranty their stuff for five years if I remember correctly. Give them a ring.
Thanks, cannyj. I did that. Turns out consumable parts are only warrantied for 1 year. Nevertheless they were very helpful and took me through a few things. Looks like our water supply could be too hot, which would shut down the hot via anti-scald. Therefore going to try with less hot water and see if that does the trick.
