...or a bit inland! What can you recommend.

It's our 30th Wedding anniversary in a couple of weeks and lockdown permitting we're hoping to get away for a couple of nights to somewhere nice.

It's the nearest coast to us now Wales is basically off limits.

Ta!

If I was planning anything like that it would be Blakeney Point, N Norfolk coast. Seals, birds, good and well-organised pub (King's Head, accommodation too), walking, cycling and once you're there no more driving. If you have a lab and pink trousers, you could also visit Burnham Market.

Petwood Hotel at Woodhall Spa is worth a look although it's a bit inland

There are a couple in and around Louth, which is a lovely toiwn in itself. Mason's Arms, Brackenborough, etc. or several B&Bs that are lovely as well

stretch beat me to woodhall spa, lovely little town, has a couple of other 's****y' hotels too besides petwood, the dower, and i think the others the golf? it has an 'olde worlde' cinema (kinema in the woods) with a proper midway break in the films and organist playing. also a lovely little tea house in the woods there too.

louth also been mentioned, the poshest one i know of there is called kenwick hall.

EDIT: if youre going especially for the coast, skeggy and mabo are your regular arcade type resorts, not our cup of tea unless you go for the people watching, there are some er....good sights to see there 😀
the beaches are good tho although maybe a bit nippy for that now. the best quieter bits of coast are anderby creek and moggs eye, in between those 2 resorts.
