Has anyone ordered one themselves? Or has the builder sorted it for you?
Experiences please how to go about getting one and did the loo providers pick it up on time, costs etc.

Thank you.

Easy to do; 20-30 quid a week in these parts for hire / cleaning / emptying / restocking paper etc. normally 1 toilet per 7 people for a working week. It’s the kind of thing that a building firm might heavily mark up if they sort it themselves so worth looking into.

Agreed. Very easy. It turned up the day after I contacted them, unloaded by the guy that delivered it, emptied, cleaned, and restocked weekly. Taken away the day after I asked them to. Had a 4 week minimum charge (can be taken away earlier but you still pay) and easy to extend the rental period.

I don't supply tea, coffee, cakes or biscuits for tradesmen, but I did treat them by hiring a unit with a light and a water heater. Our local supplier doesn't normally supply the lead with a blue industrial socket at one end and 3 pin domestic plug the other but they are available if you ask nicely.

I tried to find a sheltered spot to avoid it being blown over in a strong wind, and I used a U shaped piece of wire to lock the door shut from the outside to prevent that opening in the wind. I didn't do that the first time we hired and ended up with toilet paper flapping about all over the place.

Do they include insurance? My mate had one stolen (yes, really) from his site and got a bill for £1000 for the replacement. I guess home insurance should cover it domestically.

Make sure the insurance covers fire too. They shrink in size quite dramatically when set on fire.

Also check highway licencing if, as round here, it is to be dumped on the street.
