To whom it may concern,

Enough with the rain already. It can stop now, we know all about it, ta.

Yes, I've MedTFU and got wet. AND it looks like I'm getting wet gain on the way home tonight again if the rainfall radar is anything to go by. Which it ususally is.
I've got the right toys and the right clothes for the weather as well thankyouverymuch, but enough is enough. Time to be dry for a bit now.

Cheers. Thanks for listening.

Amen to that! I've stopped riding the local trails because they're just getting absolutely ruined at the moment

meh. it's ace, there's hardly anyone on the trails. They're all inside staying dry.

Mr PP - don't even think of using the BVP from Aldershot -> North Camp, the path was under about 4 inches of water last week (had merged with the river) so can't see it being any better after the w/e downpour.

Don't worry. I confidently predict it will be dry and increasingly cold from thursday onwards....

Pies - Ahh. Thanks for the warning, I won't. I use the bit from North Lane to Tongham every day and it's covered in sloppy leaf mulch. Which can be interesting at 6.30am......

The irony of cleaning wet weather cycling gear is not lost on me...

The flooded bit is very close to where you pick up the BVP then (but going the other way obviously).

Pies - Between the little footbridge and the canal I take it? I've seen that flood before. Then it's muddy as hell for months 🙁

I've grown to really appreciate my turbo trainer over the last month or so.

Weather sites seem to be reporting a settled calm and cold spell approaching. Hoepfully this will last for a few weeks and freeze-dry the trails 🙂

It was wet & windy when I turned up for the WS2 at Thetford yesterday.

It then proceeded to stop raining and reduce winding prior to the race start & at some point around the first lap the sun dared to show it's face! December the 6th & I was just riding in a short sleeved jersey - it was great.
Still sticky mud & hard going though, but great fun.

I'll have a word with the big guy.

You know what'll happen PP? it'll get icy and cold, everything will freeze up and you end up slipping on ice and sustaining yet another comedy injury to a usuall uncovered part of your body. Remember the "Welsh Trail Centre Clown Nose"?
;-D

Yes I have a permenant scar from that one. 🙁

Cold and icy is fine. At least you get blue sky! -7 at 6am turns your water bottle into a Slush Puppie in 7 miles though....
