Aaaarghh! It's doing my ****in' nut in. I am doing our club mag using Word '07 and I am having loads of problems. I'm sure some of it must be down to user error but...
Right, I want to import documents to make the whole mag. I have most of them together but the Editorial is in 2 columns. I have the front cover done and when I come to insert it 'before' the Editorial it also goes into 2 columns which screws it. How do I prevent this happening?
I have another doc which is a bit of text and some photos which are all correctly placed and text wrapped 'tight'. When I insert it they go all over the place. I re-align them but whenever I make an alteration to anything else in the whole document they go to crap again.
WTF am I doing wrong?? Help meeee please.
Ive just had a go, its pants, somehow the pic's cannot be locked in place like the old word.. going to keep trying
Office 2007 is the work of the devil.
insert a section break after each chunk.
so, add a page before the editorial and at the end of the page Insert>break>section
then stick the front page in.
of course if its that different to 2003 then I cant help you.
Ive refused to move to Excel 07 since I live in 03 and could never get used to the new set up...
The 2007 excel is oh so difficult to use now.. spend ages looking for things.
If you want to put images into word without them wandering aimlessly around your document then insert a table and then insert your image into a cell of that table then it's stuck exactly where you want it.
Problem 1) Section breaks.
Problems 2) Putting images into a table works but they can go walkabout too. Right click - image properties. There are then options for wrap around, anchor with text etc. You probably want the latter.
If you're still stuck email it and try and fix it for you.
(I do this sh!t for a living....Word 2007 is way better than 2003, it just takes some getting used to)
