what sort of something to eat?
aga khan is a cracking kebab place, next door is an excellent traditional curry joint, balaka. phoenix is good if pub scoff is your thing and there's been a couple of decent new restaurants opened in the town that i haven't been to but get good reports. playwright's been going a while and i've only heard good things about it. the pear tree is also excellent, but a couple of miles out of town

Papa Joe's used to be decent enough. Not been for years though.

I've not been impressed by the food in Dundee sadly.

Anyone tried Malmaison yet?

Malabar on Perth road does a decent curry.

Reminds me, must give the But and Ben another whirl

Oh maybe try the Ship Inn in Broughty ferry. Booking advised

Malmaison, not me but a couple of people I know have, both said ok but stupidly expensive
Malabar - not been since Jake died. Did try for a carry out a couple of weeks ago, after over an hour and a half (waited in pub) gave up and cancelled, Agacan instead, old faithful.
Bridgeview, - just as well there's a decent view because if the service is normally what's been when I've been there, you'll have long enough to enjoy it.

Someone above said try Perth - no decent pubs in Perth but good choice of eateries - Dundee has better pubs, not so many eating choices (crisps at the bar?).

I'd say go overboard on meat at agakhan, seriously not a veggie option Decent pub (mennies) just along the way as well.

Book though, and do it soon.

Also the View in Wormit is apparently good (despite living 500m away I've not been), and a handful of places in Newport. if you can get across the bridge.

Never thought of suggesting St Andrews earlier, loads of places. Grill House us pretty bloody good.

Mennies (Speedwell Tavern) is a great pub.

Lots of Whisky available.
