this was shot last monday with a flying visit to swissland, wouldn’t say i was ‘proud’ but pleased with the results as it was a time pressed shoot and i had to travel light with kit.

I had a business trip to Monaco and the flight arrangements afforded me the best part of a day to myself, which I obviously used very productively.

[b]geetee[/b] split toning can be a bit hit and miss in LR. It's very eary to overdo it! I prefer to do any colour grading in PS. However, this is one I got 'right' in LR.

Mikkel it's too dark. Old photos don't have true blacks. You need to lighten up the darker areas all round. Also old photos don't have perfect details so if your losing some of the detail y lightening it don't worry.
Can I suggest you don't try to make it look like something it's not? The subject matter is strong enough on its own not to need it and trying to make it look like an old photo', however you do it, will just make it look hackneyed. Perhaps try making it just regular B&W?
