I have 2 gig fotopic account which is nearing its limit, but they have now made direct linking all but impossible.
Anyone recommend others ? I like the look of Picasa, but thats only 1 gig free and then you have to pay.
Flickr is the daddy - get a Pro Account for $20 dollars and away you go.
But sadly not free 🙁
Not sure how much space you get with a Windowes Live account, but it's free.
Flickr may not be free but well worth and the it's for 2 years a $20.
Just resize youre image before uploading them. 800*600 is more than enough for web viewing and is *tiny* compared to full res pics (and means they won't end up being nicked by anyone either - I've seen it happen)
Skydrive (the other part of Windows Live) supposedly has 25gb of free online storage...but unfortunately it appears to be offline at the moment: http://skydrive.live.com/
Just resize youre image before uploading them.
If you are using Picassa then it will give you the option to resize them at the time of upload.
I resize all my images using pixresizer before uploading anyway.
Its a shame Picasa dont link your gmail storage to the web albums, as I have over 7 gig available in there.

Yeah. Though if you do opt to pay for more storage then that will be shared between Picasa Web Albums and GMail:

Google charge $20 (~£12) for 10GB extra storage for a year.
Does your ISP give you free space for web hosting? Can you use that?
Flickr.
The only restriction is the quantity you can upload a month on the free account and you can only view 200 of them.
But if you press the search box on your profile they all magically reappear. Order them by latest and you can find everything.
Hmmm.... reading this it seems to not place an overall limit on storage
Is this right, do they only limit you to 100mb per month but no overall storage limit ?
Correct, as long as you don't want to upload it all at once it would do the job. Worth paying for a Pro account though.
