Mrs old mobile died. Sony Ericsson
She is on the 3 network.
Upgraded to I phone 4s
Phone arrived today comes with a new mini sim. I'm assuming once its activated by calling them it says the old sim will stop and the new sim starts.
Originally thought fit her Sim into the phone and away she goes contacts and all.
She obviously has been supplied with the newer mini sim so that isn't happening.
So new phone no contacts.
Will activating the new sim and killing the old one by doing so just render the old sim from being able to phone from I.e the contacts would just remain on the sim chip but you just can't call out on it?
Not all her contacts are on her Sim either, I tried her old Sim in my phone. So some contacts still reside on her phone?!
I'm thinking take old Sim and new phone with micro sim into 3 shop and get contacts from old sim transferred onto new micro sim?
Or hook my phone with her old Sim in it up to a laptop and use some software to grab the contacts off? Think Google have something?
Old phone won't turn on at all. Screen won't come on.
Screen shows charging when charger plugged in. So maybe keypad lost comms I.e standby button does sweet FA.

Glad you confirmed this will work.
Going to manually pull her stuff of now by using her Sim and my Nokia N8 and PC suite now.
Then I can cut her sim down to try too.
Going back to earlier question by activating a new sim does it just knock the old sim out in terms of being able to phone form it?
So the contacts etc would still be on there you just can't accept or make calls with it.
