why?

it takes 30 seconds, why wouldnt you? and I know for a fact the stuff i have sold is in great condition. I have contacted 2 buyers several times to check their items arrived, but they havent even bothered to respond to my emails.

Hahaha!

I used to be bad for that when my back was injured, basically people are busy and get distracted or just don't give a shit.

That said no feedback is better than negative 😀

Sometimes, it's a case of "if you don't got nuthin nice to say, then don't say nuthin at all"

I've bought stuff that i thought wasn't as good as described and feel a little miffed. Not serious stuff that deserves negative, but i just leave it.

From the sellers point of view, it's not the end of the world.

As a buyer on ebay, I don't see the point in it and quite often forget / can't be bothered to leave any. The days of a sellers reputation being all are long gone and I rely on Paypal / Ebay dispute procedure to deal with any issues.

Exactly as Reluctant said...goods not as described but in fairly minor ways (If it were major I'd be opening a dispute) or poor service (Slow delivery with no comms) then I don't bother.

If goods are as described and delivery is prompt etc, then I'll leave positive feedback promptly... I think if they've gone to the effort then that deserves the very little effort of logging on and giving positive feedback

I generally do but it feels like a bit of a charade, especially for small items. Like I bought some brake pads and now I'm being asked to characterise the transaction 5 different ways.

Agree with the others that sometimes you'll get an item that's slightly substandard. Not worth the hassle of sending it back or worthy of negative feedback, but you certainly can't be arsed giving positive fb.

I rarely bother now. Saying that, I almost exclusively buy new on a buy it now. So I treat it no different to any other online purchase.

I always leave feedback whether I'm selling or buying

I think its useful (its helpful to be able to read the feedback before you buy in particular)

If two people/companies are selling the product for the same price and they both have 100% feedback .. but one has completed significantly more transactions/feedback .. id get it from the one who has completed more transactions/more feedback

I usually forget ... although since you reminded me I might log in now and leave some.

Its also annoying how it forces you to leave a comment with the feedback.
