Cost £1000 No idea spec but the guy owed me a BIG favour(not SEXUAL)

Just last week power went GAGA
My mate said get a new Power pack i did £35 decent cool silent type..
my old was 500w new one is 550w
Swapped everything over etc .
Booted it up clicky t (could here it booting up)click power lights & no monitor action ><??
Tried different monitor NIL point
Tried graphic card X2 NIL point
Friend said Mmm mite be Graphic card SLOT...
So he got me a standed PCI video card to try in a GREY slot
Tried it in all 5 slots still NIL point.
ANYONE Help as all my cats & dogs videos are on here etc & its a Ye old but still a cracking Machine I know i can do something with the Hard drive etc but its just doing my mate(whos into PCs like )

Have you tried the monitor with something that deffo works?
If the monitor it ok then try resetting cmos.
Hope the mobo isn't fried! can you still get sound ok?
Make a backup off the drive on another pc etc.
Can you get into bios?

Yeah Mobo could be shot. Same thing happened to me just before Chrimbo: lost the power supply in a puff of smoke. Replaced with a [url= http://www.enermax.co.uk/products/power-supply/libertyeco.html ][u]decent[/u] cool silent type (£75!)[/url] only to discover that the motherboard had also been fried. 👿
