Sold a frame last month, to a guy in Poland. Did my research on the buyer and all seemed fine. Paid via paypal, posted, received and no problem.

Now, 34 days after receiving the frame he has filed a "significantly not as described" dispute.

Any advice? Sold with plenty of photos, listed as used, no damage. Not an Ebay sale either.

I had the same problem a few weeks ago with the sale of a laptop - guy said it had 'deep scratches' on the inside (which it didn't).
I asked him to provide pictures of the scratches so I could compare them with the hi-res pics I'd taken before the auction - he then closed the dispute.
It can be difficult from your end of the deal. What is he saying is wrong with it and how did you describe the frame?

I'm Polish, get me the details if you want to. I might be able to help (connections are available).

Have the frame retuned to the UK and refund the money, did you take down the frames numbers and do you have some good photo's of it, I sold a frame to a rider that jumped down some stairs did a nose dive, panicked slammed on the front brake and snapped the frame.

He got in touch and asked for a refund after 40 days, I asked what was wrong and if I could see some photo's of the damage, he sent the photo's and told me what happend, I then said NO!

He replied fair enough and off he went, however a lot of people these days are assholes, all you can do is try and make the best out of a bad situation.

Close the Paypal account pronto? Tell them, when they contact you, you'll see them in court.

paypal will almost certainly screw you over. sorry but they will. is there any money left in your paypal account? if not then close it. or at least delete all payment methods from it or cancel any cards linked to it. they then have to recover the money from you and as said above, see you in court.

Where exactly in Poland? I could post some bombers over to my relatives...

Have they been in contact to say exactly why they aren't happy? Can't imagine why after a month there's suddenly a massive issue. Oh, and Kaesaes example is shocking. WTF is wrong with people like this?

You can also instruct your bank to disregard ANY claims from Paypal, Direct Debit or not.

i have an old account when you did not have to give bank details
As a seller paypal just screws you it is good as a buyer as you can view the fee as insurance against getting scammed. If i recieve payment i send it out the account straight away

He'll have to post the frame back by a trackable service. Once he has proof of delivery to you paypal will refund him. Not much you can do about it. In fact he can ship back a boxful of tat and still get refunded!

Did he pay as a gift? If so, then I don't think the buyer has any protection or any way of getting their money back, do they?
