just need some new front tires - do i need van tires ?

i ask because i have 82 rated tires on atm(after the mechanic stuck 2 tires on to get it past mot) and iirc when i first got it it had conti vanco 90 rateds on it.

does any one have the owners manual to hand - what are the correct tires to put on it ?

reinforced 86 rated tires would exceed the GVW of my vehicle , exceed the speed rating of my vehicle.

would these be a legal replacement ?

because i want to replace with winter tires and van(90 rated) winter tires in the correct size are non existant

I have a B'lingo Multispace.

I run Vredestein Snowtrac3s during the winter. Mine are 185/65/15 88H on the rear axle and 185/65/15 88T on the front. The reason for the difference was cost when replacing an axle set.

The only legal requirement relating to the speed rating of the tyre is that you don't exceed it. H is 130mph and T is 118mph. The top speed of the vehicle is 99mph. Before anyone calls 'B*ll*cks', I have checked with the insurance company.

The 88 load rating is good for 560kg per tyre. Make sure your Load rating is more than half of your max axle weight, and make sure you don't exceed it.

cheers troutie

my owners manual i looked at lasst night shows a GVW of 1805kg so with 4 82s that gives me a GVH of 1900KG for the age where as older ones with same engine were heavier so should be good for me. Im inclined to go with my mechanic with respect to him sticking 82s on but its a grey area with these small vans - ie if i went up to the 800kg payload i need the heavier rated tires !
